How to use shaders ?
August, 20 2022.
What is a shaders?
Minecraft offers the possibility for the player to modify the graphics of the game without modifying the game. However, this remains limited.
There are shaders which are in fact programs that you can integrate into the game to add mechanisms of shadows, reflections, movements which will make your game even more beautiful. (Your game will always look better with Alta Pack...)
Step 1: Choosing your shaders
You have several options for choosing a shaders. To do this, determine the use you will make of this shaders: Do you want something rather light in terms of modification, do you want something realistic? Big changes with reflections?
In addition, it will be important to be careful to have enough resources on your computer. A shader in essence adds more variables and takes more resources.
Step 2: Download and load your shaders
Once you have made your choice, you will need to download your shaders and integrate it into your game. You'll see, it's quite simple.
For your information, make sure you have Optifine installed, guides are available on the net
Afterwards, press "Windows + R" then write "C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft".
Next, you will access "shaderpack" and place your shaders there.
Step 3: Using your shaders
You will have to start your game under an Optifine version. Tutorials are available for this.
In order to activate your shaders, go to your game then to "Options" > "Video settings" > "Shaders".
Click on the shader of your choice then press "Done". And it's done, enjoy!
