What is a schematics ?
A schematics is quite simple. It is simply a construct that a user makes available to other users. A schematics allows you to have a building, a car, landscapes or any other creation easily and you can integrate it into your world.
You will find a series of files in .schematics in the "Schematics" page of our Alta website in which you will find buildings or vehicles free to download and the content is completely free.
Step 1: Choosing your schematics
You will find a series of users or creators who can offer you different schematics. Sometimes paid, sometimes free. As we said earlier, all Alta schematics are free and downloadable from the "Schematics" page.
The first step is simple, you will simply choose a Schematics. For the example, we'll upload one to our Schematics Alta gallery.
Step 2: Download the schematics
A schematics, once download is in . schematics
Warning: Before downloading schematics, make sure you have downloaded WorldEdit. Tutorials are available if needed or an equivalent tool (MC Edit for example).
Step 3: Insert the schematics into the game
Once downloaded, the game must be able to "read" your resourcepack. You are almost there...
To do this, press "Windows + R" then write "C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft".
Then go to .minecraft/config/worldedit/schematics
Place your file in the final directory
Step 4: Use in-game schematics
Start the game in a Forge build, tutorials are available for download. Again, WorldEdit must be downloaded.
Once in your world, access the text prompt and write: "//schematic load [Name of Schematics]
